·               Setup and Configure Microsoft Lync Server Components like FRONT End servers, Edge servers, and Mediation Server, Director, DNS and PSTN gateways.

·               Configure MS Lync client and perform Interop Testing between different VoIP End points in the certification lab.

Scope:

IPC UNIGY is leading trading domain financial services company, IPC UNIGY is a R&D product and working on Dunkin Voice Apps module. Voice Apps (VA) is the core of Dunkin project and Voice Apps testing includes huge and diverse number of voice scenarios. VA architecture is more or less same as the IMS standard here we have Application server, Media Gateway, Media Server, Recorder, SIP enabled Phones and Session Border Controller. We are involved in testing of all these network elements using simulators and real hard/soft phones

 

Responsibility Summary:

·               I was involved in Test Planning, Preparing Test Case/Use Cases. I had setup the Lab at offshore.

·               I performed Functional and Regression Testing for SIP Protocol. Role includes the Test Reporting to Client, Team Handling and program management with Client.

Project: MULTI CORE PCU

Scope:

Product aimed at providing functionality of GPRS based Packet Control Unit (PCU). The product is completely IP based and provides full fledge GPRS features. Runs on Octeon Processor for 2G, 2.5G and 3G.

 

Responsibility Summary:

·               Majorly involved to test the seamless porting to the 12 core Octeon.

·               Prepared and Tested System Integration and stability testing.

·               Role includes the technical discussion with client

Scope:

Product aimed at providing functionality of GSM based Base station center within a small box solution. Product was targeted to rural areas and was designed to run with solar power.

 

Responsibility Summary:

·               Developed BSC LOCK/UNLOCK and Remote shutdown of Master and peer card.

·               Involved in BUG fixing/ onsite Field issues.

Client: NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORKS– Senior Software Engineer

Project: IP BTS

Scope:

The Project is development of BTS. The aim of the project is to develop an IP based GSM BTS involving the development of the following protocols:

Layer-1, LAPDm, RRBTSM, RTP, LAPDIF

 

Responsibility Summary:

·               I was part of the team, studied various 3GPP core specifications mainly 04.04, 05.02, 05.03, 05.05, 05.08, 05.10, 06.81 so as to thoroughly understand the criticality involved in the 2G BTS Physical layer.

·               Prepared HLD and LLD of RTP and Layer-1 module. I developed the RTP library following RFC 3550. Involved in the Design and coding of Layer-1 module, Channel Management and SI’s of Ethernet Raw Socket based interface with hardware including the design of packet format of Ethernet Packets.

 

Client: Mitel, Canada – Software Engineer

Project: MITEL SIP

Tool/Technology: ClearQuest

Scope:

This project uses VOIP technology. The Automation has been done on hardware IP phones, which use SIP protocol, these phones have advanced features like User Configuration, Network Setting, Caller ID services, Emergency services etc., which enables the user to go beyond normal telephone services. These phones can be programmed using TUI as well as GUI (web interface).

 

Responsibility Summary:

·               Involved in Validation SIP phones based on RFC 3261,3262,3311,4028.

·               Involved in Automation of SIP Phone. Performed Testing using Third Party tool SIPNess which is used to simulate the phone. Performed Phone API testing.
